SUMMARY
The Peña Rojas clan was a family engaged in the sale and cultivation of opium and marihuana in the Huautla region of the Mexican state of Guerrero in the early 1990s.
The Peña Rojas clan had a blood feud with the Garcia Clan that was also active in the sale and cultivation of opium and cannabis in the region of Huatla. This feud eventually led to the slaughter of most of the male members of the Peña Rojas clan on 9 February 1993.
The Peña Roja clan has been involved in the non-state category of UCDP organized violence.
