The Garcia clan was a family engaged in the sale and cultivation of opium and Marihuana in the Huautla region of the Mexican state of Guerrero in the early 1990s.

They possessed and made use of high caliber weaponry like AR-15s and AK-47s.

Their modus operandi when setting up ambushes was described as “professional” by Mexican authorities.

They had a “blood feud” with the Peña Rojas family that also operated in the area and was also engaged in the sale and cultivation of opium and cannabis.

The Garcia clan has been involved in the non-state category of UCDP organized violence.
