SUMMARY

The Ukele people (also called the Kukele or Ukelle) are an ethnic group living mainly in the Cross River State of Nigeria. The community in Nigeria is very small, numbering only around 100,000 people.

The community is mainly agriculturalist, and has become involved in clashes with other ethnic groups over land issues.

The Ukele people have been involved in the non-state category of UCDP organised violence.
