SUMMARY
The Izzi people are an ethnic group found mainly in Ebonyi State in Nigeria. Commonly, they are designated as belonging to the larger Igbo people, one of Nigeria’s largest ethnic communities. The Izzi however speak a special dialect of the Igbo language.
The Izzi people are mainly agriculturalists and have been involved in clashes with other ethnic groups/communities, mainly over land rivalries.
The Izzi people have been involved in the non-state category of UCDP organised violence.
