SUMMARY
The Ezza (sometimes spelled Ezaa) people are a sub-group of the Igbo ethnic group. They speak the Igbo language and reside mainly in Onueke in Ebonyi State in southeast Nigeria. Traditionally, Ezza people have mainly been subsistence farmers, and have been partly nomadic in nature, naming areas where they have settled with the prefix “Ezza”. In conflicts with other groups, the Ezza have not displayed a unified command, but rather the violence has been more informally organised.
The Ezza have been involved in the non-state category of UCDP organised violence.
