SUMMARY
The majority of the 2014 attacks took place during 2 distinct periods: In early May the Bodoland Territorial Area District (BTAD) in Assam state saw an intensive wave of violence being unleashed against its civilians. In late December the NDFB-S unleashed yet another wave of attacks.
NDFB-S first became active as a one-sided actor in UCDP data in 2014, when one-sided violence resulted in over 25 civilian deaths. The threshold was reached in May that year when a number of bodies, who had been killed by the group, were found in Baksa district of Assam state.
