Comment on date of first stated goal of incompatibility: In an interview on 25 October 2014 Jaish al-Adl leader Salahuddin Farooqi declared that Jaish al-Adl fought for the "establishment of a federal system in Iran that meets the demands of Baloch people and Sunnis and all peoples and ethnic and religious minorities in Iran." He declared their intention to continue fighting to protect Sunnis and the Baluchi people as there was injustice and discrimination against them in Iran.
Even though the movement is clearly Baluchi and Sunni in character, Farooqi claimed to fight for justice for all ethnic and religious minorities in Iran. He also rejected accusations of fighting a religious or sectarian war against Iran, instead accusing the Iranian regime of being extreme by trying to "impose the Shiite faith on the Sunnis throughout Iran".

Comment on date of first use of armed force: While Jaish al-Adl has claimed responsibility for deadly attacks against Iran as early as October 2013, it was first in October 2014 that it made a statement of incompatibility while claiming responsibility for an attack on a police station near Saravan town in which it killed three members of the security forces.
