Comment on Yearly Battle Related Deaths: The fighting was confined to Tirah valley, and there was no recorded civilian fatalities.
Comment on Active: Ansaar ul-Islam clashed with TTP fiercely in what turned out to be a two-months long campaign in Tirah Valley. Lashkar-e-Islam fighters sided with TTP during the clashes. Both sides suffered high number of fatalities, and total number of battle-related deaths was over 200.
