SUMMARY

The Azara are an ethnic group that live in the central parts of Nigeria. Information with regards to the Azara ethnic group is limited. The Azara are ruled by a traditional ruler, often referred to as a chief. The chief holds a great symbolic value to the Azara community. Apart from the fact that they are Muslim, and ruled by a chief, little information is available concerning the Azara ethnic group.

The Azara ethnic group has been involved in the non-state category of UCDP organised violence.
