SUMMARY
The label Arab tribe is a broad definition capturing a wide variety of tribes and ethnicities residing in Mali and other northern African countries. The people that fall under the category of the Arab tribe are mostly nomadic herdsmen and traders. The Arab tribe inhabits the desert areas of northern Mali, as well as northern Niger, southern Algeria, southern Libya and Mauretania.
Since the label Arab tribe is so all-embracing it is difficult to elaborate on any leader, common goals, strategy or history of the group.
The Arab tribe has been involved in the non-state category of UCDP organised violence
