SUMMARY

The FPR (Front Populaire pour le Redressement) has been led by a former Chadian rebel leader named Abdel Kader Baba Lade. The group has attacked civilians in the Central African Republic mainly along the north-western border to Chad but occasionally in other parts of the country as well. The group has attacked civilians in their homes, raiding and burning hundreds of houses to the ground, and in public for instance at market places.

FPR first became active as a one-sided actor in UCDP data in 2014, when the one-sided violence resulted in more than 25 civilian deaths. The threshold was reached in early February of that year when the group attacked a village in the Ngaoundaye region, raiding and burning houses, and subsequently killing 27 civilians.
