SUMMARY
The UPC (Ali Darass Fulani supporters), Union pour la Paix en Centrafrique or Unité pour la Centrafrique or the Union for Peace, have attacked civilians mainly in the Ouaka and Kémo provinces of the Central African Republic. The UPC has targeted civilians that they suspected supported their enemies, the anti-Balaka, in addition to attacking villages for looting, burning, or revenge killings.
The UPC (Ali Darass Fulani supporters) was first included in the one-sided violence category of the UCDP data in 2014. The threshold was reached on 10 October when the group attacked civilians in a Catholic Church compound in Dekoa town, Kémo province, resulting in the death of nine civilians.
