Comment on conflict reached 25 battle releated deaths: NDFB-RD first became active as a one-sided actor in UCDP data in 2010, when one-sided violence resulted in over 25 civilian deaths. The threshold was reached in November that year when the group organized a number of concerted attacks on Hindu settlers as revenge over Indian Government's actions against the group.

Comment on Activity: Throughout the year, NDFB-RD lost substantial strength following a number of crippling military operations undertaken by the Government of India. These operations led to the capture of a number of key figures of the organisation, including the group leader, Ranjan Daimary.
This made the group shift its interest to targeting civilians, mainly Hindu settlers, claiming they are legitimate targets in the struggle for Bodo rights. NDFB-RD officials further stated, on 1 November 2010, that 20 Hindus will be killed for each Bodo killed by Indian security forces.
A series of co-ordinated attacks followed between 8 and 12 November 2010, the bloodiest of which was an attack on a passenger bus, mainly carrying non-Bodo employees of various local governmental bodies, resulting in 8 deaths.
