Comment on Yearly Battle Related Deaths: The deaths are all recorded in the same event, the clash on 3 January 2000 in Korneseredou town, Guinea.
Comment on Active: The incident that entered the dyad into the UCDP-dataset was originally nothing more than a trivial land dispute. The dispute, which started with Torma Manians trying to stop Tormas from cultivating a piece of land, the argument soon got out of hand, and before the Guinean army managed to get control of the situation 31 people had lost their lives.

Comment on Yearly Battle Related Deaths: The deaths were recorded on two separate events. One took place in June, that left a death toll of two; and the second happened in December, leaving a death toll of 17.
Comment on Active: On two different occasions, members of the Torma and Torma Manian ethnic groups clashed over land disputes in the Nzerekoré region of Guinea, near the border with Liberia. The first incident took place in June and left a death toll of two. The second incident, in December, ended with a total death toll of 17.
