Comment on Activity: The Khmer Rouge made repeated attacks on trains during the year, reportedly more than 20 attacks. Generally, passengers were robbed and killed even if some reports suggest that the Khmer Rouge primarily singled out and executed passengers that, allegedly, worked for the Cambodian government in any form.

Comment on Activity: The most notable event was an attack on Vietnamese working for a logging project, where Khmer Rouge forces lined up 92 people in groups of twenty and machine-gunned them down.

Comment on Activity: Few incidents were reported, and these consisted of attacks on trains and roads as well as the killing of civilians that by accident wandered to close to Khmer Rouge military camps.
