Comment on Activity: When Yussuf Hajji Nur opposed Abdullahi Yusuf’s attempt to prolong his presidential term in the autonomous region Puntland clashes soon erupted. Most of the fighting took place in the vicinity of the airport in Boossaaso, in Bari region. Militias loyal to the two men used different types of weapons and many people were killed as a result of the violence.
