Comment on Activity: Violence between the JVA and the JVA faction erupted very briefly in January in a dispute over land ownership. The main part of violence however took place in October, after JVA started to dissolve roadblocks set up on private initiative of JVA members.
Comment on Yearly Battle Related Deaths: The difference in the fatality estimate results from diverging information about one incident in October, for which several sources report 18 fatalities, while other sources report 100 fatalities.
