2006 Conflict Archive
Comment on Activity: Only one clash was recorded in UCDP data during 2006, in which all of the 30 fatalities were caused. The clash took place in the Shindand district of Herat province, where Arbab Basirs forces ambushed a convoy carrying Amanullah Khan. Approximately 30 people were killed in fighting during and after the ambush. Both Arbab Bashirs son and Amanullah Khan were killed.
