Comment on Yearly Battle Related Deaths: "Following several years of training in camps controlled by the Karen rebel group KNU, the main force of ALP together with a smaller group of ethnic Chin rebels tried to return to Arakan and establish bases. In total, it was estimated that around 50 rebels included in the group.
While still in the Chin hills, in May and June 1977, this group was discovered by Burmese troops and fighting erupted. It was reported that the ALP force was cornered and completely wiped out."
