SUMMARY
Família Terror Amapá (Terror Family Amapá) was a drug trafficking gang operating in the northern state of Amapá, Brazil. The group was created in 2015 by PCC, one of Brazil's biggest drug trafficking organizations, a year after they had established themselves in the state. Since then, the Família Terror Amapá has maintained an alliance with the PCC.
The gang's main areas of operation were the state capital, Macapá, and the neighboring town of Santana. Cells of the Família Terror Amapá gang operated in Brazilian states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará and Rondônia, in addition to neighboring countries of Bolivia, Paraguay and French Guiana. In 2021, it was reported that Família Terror Amapá had 6000 members consisting of mostly youth, with 4000 of them operating in Amapá state.
A 2021 report stated that Família Terror Amapá had 12 leaders; nine of them were incarcerated. In October the same year one of the group's most prominent leaders, Alberto Magno da Silva Lobato "The Emperor", was arrested in Rio de Janeiro.
