SUMMARY
The Murule is Somali people living mostly on the northern tip of the North East Province of Kenya that borders Ethiopia and Somalia. Also, some of the Murule inhabits the Gedo and Jubba regions of Somalia. The Murule are pastoralists with a nomadic lifestyle and they have been living in Kenya for 120 years when they shifted place of living with enormous livestock from Somalia. The Murule is an ethnic group where Muslim is the principal belief held by the members.
The Murule subclan of Gugundabe clan (Hawiye) has been involved in the non-state category of UCDP organised violence.
