UCDP Update Alert 23: Major data releasesUCDP has released six new versions of its annually updated datasets: UCDP/PRIO Armed Conflict Dataset v.4-2016, UCDP Dyadic Dataset v.1-2016, UCDP Battle-related Deaths Dataset v.5-2016, UCDP Georeferenced Events Dataset release 4.1 (UCDP GED 4.1), UCDP Non-State Conflict Dataset v.2.5-2016 and UCDP One-sided Violence Dataset v.1.4-2016. All datasets, codebooks and version histories can be downloaded from ucdp.uu.se/downloads PublicationsA new UCDP data feature has been published in the latest issue of Journal of Peace Research. In “Organized violence, 1989-2015”, Erik Melander, Therése Pettersson and Lotta Themnér for the first time present updated data on all three categories of organized violence (state-based conflict, non-state conflict and one-sided violence). Interested?Like any other UCDP products, the new datasets are free of charge, no registration required.
